President Obama’s Statement on the Shutdown

President Obama’s Statement

Every American needs to watch President Obama’s statement on the government shutdown. Whatever you think politically, I hope we can all take a deep breath and look where we are today, then ask yourself one question: Am I making the world a better place?

Ask your friends and family what kind of world you want to live in for the rest of your lives, and work with them to create that world.

Our lives and fate are not in the hands of corrupt politicians and their faceless billionaire puppet masters.

The future is OURS TO MAKE. Will yours be based on ignorance, hatred, and fear? Or will you work with the rest of us to make a better world filled empathy, understanding, and respect for all the other people who are just trying to get by?

The future is in YOUR hands. So get off your ass, and tell your friends and family to help you do something about it: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

It’s Money That Matters…

Marijuana is Illegal Because It Is a Major Source of Funding For Law Enforcement.

The only reason marijuana is still illegal is two-fold and they both are tied to revenue. First, because any American can grow the weed in their backyard, corporations cannot profit off its recreational use. Second, keeping it as contraband is a major revenue source for law enforcement, drug cartels, and the for-profit prison industry that are interdependent on each other’s continued activities.

Follow the money. Nuff’ said.

Just Say NO!

Obama Administration Has Spent Nearly $300 Million Cracking Down On Medical Marijuana: Report

An analysis from pro-medical marijuana group Americans For Safe Access found that President Barack Obama’s administration has spent nearly $300 million on combatting medical marijuana in states that have legalized the drug.

That plus $20 Billion a year to fight “The War on (some) Drugs” and it begins to add up.

Who wants to bet that if Medical Marijuana came with an assault rifle (or killed as many people as guns do) it would be legal in all 50 states?

More of this PLEASE!!

Gov. Beshear tells Obama Ky. wants to explore hemp

Gov. Steve Beshear is calling for the federal government to take a fresh look at whether there’s a way to capitalize on the potential economic benefits of industrial hemp without undermining marijuana eradication efforts.

It’s about time state governments stood up for the people of their states who will benefit most from ending the ban on industrial hemp.

Surprise, surprise, surprise… or not.

House supporters of KXL received $56m from fossil fuel industry

Oil Change International calculated that supporters of the bill had taken a combined $56 million from the fossil fuel industry, and that individual representatives in support of the bill had on average received six times from oil industry interests than pipeline opponents.

While not one single person could possibly be surprised by the story above, consider for a moment, how many jobs could have been created by  spending that $56 million to plant hemp crops throughout the crumbling heartland of America.

We’re spending $1 Trillion on a military fighter program that barely flies and nobody wants, when we could be making $1 Trillion by allowing American farmers to grow the most profitable plant in human history.

Damn Socialists!!

Bernanke Tells Congress Fighting Unemployment Is A Better Cure For Government Debt Than Austerity

The Federal Reserve chairman, in testimony before the Joint Economic Committee of Congress on Wednesday, suggested that ending the nations long-term unemployment crisis would be a more effective way of shrinking government deficits and debt than the austerity cocktail funneled down our throats by Congress and the White House in recent years.

“The loss of output and earnings associated with high unemployment … reduces government revenues and increases spending on income-support programs, thereby leading to larger budget deficits and higher levels of public debt than would otherwise occur,” Bernanke said.

Instead of doing anything about unemployment, which hovers at 7.5 percent four years after the end of the Great Recession, Congress and the White House have spent the past two years finding diabolically creative new ways to slash government spending. That has worsened the unemployment crisis, making Bernankes job harder.

So, you’re trying to tell me that our Government is supposed to HELP the people of America instead of HURT them?

Crazy talk…

House of Bush, House of Saud

By Craig Unger

As the real depths and ramifications of the Bush-Saudi Co oil-dependancey begins to break through the Mass Media blackout and see the light of day. Like a house of cards beneath the dancing feet of Satan on a crystal-meth bender, the absurd fiction of “Bush as Messianc Savior” is crumbling faster than than all the kings spin meisters and propgandists can repair.

The fact is: Most of these facts have been in the public record for decades (including the Bush familie’s role in the illegal rebuilding of the Nazi military before WWII and their remarkable similar rolecreating the latest boogy man Saddam Hussein.

(Some of you may be asking ‘what ever happened to Bin Laden’. . . you people will be quietly escorted to the door and never seen again.)

The Real Reason Hemp Is Illegal

Shadow of The Swastika

Today, thanks to the efforts of pioneer hemp researchers and public advocates such as Galbraith, Jack Fraizer, Jack Herer, Chris Conrad, Ed Rosenthal, Don Wirtshafter and others, the federal government’s unjustifiable suppression of our state’s right to develop our most valuable and versatile natural resource, is facing increasing opposition from an informed public. Hemp is now recognized as the number one agriculturally renewable raw material in the world, and perhaps the only crop / industry which can guarantee us industrial and economic independence from the trans-national corporations.

***

This publication, however, reveals documented historical evidence that the suppression of the hemp industry was only one key part of a much larger conspiracy in the 1930s, not only by the three corporate interests named above, but by many others, as well.

Congressional records, FBI reports and investigations by the Justice Department, during the 1930s and 1940s, have already documented evidence of this wider plot. A list of the corporations named include Du Pont, Standard Oil, and General Motors, all of which were proven to be conspiring with Nazi industrial cartels to eliminate competition world-wide and divide among themselves the Earth’s industrial resources and commercial markets, for profitable exploitation.

This conspiracy succeeded. It is now obvious that this lack of serious competition in the industrial raw materials market caused our present – and totally contrived – addiction to petrochemicals. Its success is directly responsible for the most troubling problems we now face in the 1990s; serious damage to our environment, concentration of economic and political power into fewer and fewer hands, and the weakening of the rights of individuals and states to determine their own futures.

It is more and more evident that, given the historical record, the structure of the New World Order is being built upon the Foundation of Marijuana Prohibition, and only the relegalization of free-market hemp competition can save us.

If you want to know the Who, What, When, Why, Where and How of Hemp prohibition, this is all you need to read.

Good Drugs And Bad Drugs

All My Friends Are Dead

“There’s real distress, but to turn distress into a mental disorder is just misnaming,” Eric Maisel, a psychologist and author of several books on psychiatry told me. “Folks don’t want to say my job sucks, my relationship sucks…It’s a letting go of personal responsibility. [They think] it’s not the hardness of their life making them sad, it’s a disorder.”

In other words, we’re diagnosing life.

More than 100,000 people die every year using LEGAL drugs as they are prescribed.

Nobody dies from marijuana, let alone its THC free cousin hemp.

Guess which “dangerous drug” the US spends $20 billion a year fighting in their misguided Drug War?

(Hint: The same plant that could end our dependence on foreign oil)

Politics of The Weapons Pimps

Abrams Tank Pushed By Congress Despite Armys Protests

Its the inverse of the federal budget world these days, in which automatic spending cuts are leaving sought-after pet programs struggling or unpaid altogether. Republicans and Democrats for years have fought so bitterly that lawmaking in Washington ground to a near-halt.

Yet in the case of the Abrams tank, theres a bipartisan push to spend an extra $436 million on a weapon the experts explicitly say is not needed.

“If we had our choice, we would use that money in a different way,” Gen. Ray Odierno, the Armys chief of staff, told The Associated Press this past week.

Why are the tank dollars still flowing? Politics.

Once again our Corporate Congress proves that “Protecting National Defense” is only about “Protecting the Military Industrial Complex”.

If politicians really wanted to HELP the people of America, they wouldn’t slash social programs that DIRECTLY HELP the majority of Americans to pay for tanks that nobody wants or needs.

When politicians see corporations as “People”, and The People as “takers”, you get more tanks in the Middle East instead of cheaper health care here home.
