A bill introduced in the Arkansas state legislature aims to bar public schools in the state from assigning books by the late author and historian\u00a0Howard Zinn<\/a>, the\u00a0Arkansas Times reported<\/a>\u00a0last week.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To quote Howard Zinn:<\/p>\n

\u201cDemocracy is in dissent. Democracy is in resistance. Democracy doesn\u2019t come from the top, it comes from the bottom.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

People only\u00a0try to bury the truth when they\u00a0can\u2019t face\u00a0the facts.<\/p>\n

Banning history books written from the perspective of the oppressed workers and slaughtered locals (aka \u201cThe People\u201d) is a\u00a0pathetic, paranoid attempt\u00a0by ignorant, fear driven politicians to protect the corporate establishment from its\u00a0greatest enemy: AN INFORMED ELECTORATE.<\/p>\n

This is straight out of Orwell\u2019s \u20181984\u2019, and it\u2019s as true today as it was then: Eradicate all proof\u00a0of the truth and the people will\u00a0believe the lie.<\/p>\n

What these terrified\u00a0protectors of the Power Elite don\u2019t seem to know is that they can\u2019t bury the truth anymore. Not only is it already out there, IT IS EVERYWHERE, and its easier than ever to find and share for all those who have \u201cears to hear\u201d as Jesus said.<\/p>\n

I hope this, and all the other\u00a0pathetic power grabs by\u00a0these sad political hacks, becomes another reason for the rest of us to dig deeper into the truth they are trying to hide and sends Zinn\u2019s must read book (A People\u2019s History of The United States<\/a>) to the top of the bestseller list.<\/p>\n

Especially now that the Multinational\u00a0Corporate Oligarchs featured so prominently in Zinn\u2019s writing have revealed themselves as the true power behind Trump and his Wall St. White House.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
